The Siang is what the Brahmaputra is called before it reaches Assam, and at Pasighat it has just come down through the deepest gorge on the planet. That means volume rather than technicality: broad, powerful water with big wave trains and holes, on a river that is genuinely intimidating to look at from the bank.

Runs are usually staged over two days with a night camped on a sandbar, and the season is roughly November to March when the flow drops to something sane. This is real white water with a safety kayak, not a float trip - we will ask about your experience honestly before we book it.
